The Fake Celebrity in China – two very different reviews

I mostly sell my writing to Americans, who appear to appreciate it more. I prefer American literature to British or New Zealand literature (though I highly rate Alan Duff and Janet Frame) .

I think American writers pay more attention to style, shorter and harder, and I think their readers are less easy to shock, plus they tolerate less bullshit.

Here is a review from an American guy, older, who probably at least has been to China:

Contrast this to a younger English girl who has a blog called Book and Tea:

You can almost hear the cruel crunching of the cucumber sandwiches.
